Volunteers are what make our organization SHINE and our team wants to celebrate their commitment to the Girl Scouting way. On this page you can find events that are designed to aid volunteers as they provide opportunities to our youth, or to celebrate them as they provide a space that will change the lives of Girl Scouts in our area.
Click the events below for their definition, and if they are upcoming, a link for more details and registration.
Troop-level volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend our monthly meetings to get practical resources and network with other troop volunteers. Led by the volunteer co-managers of the service unit, these meetings are open to all who support activities at the troop level, whether leaders, co-leader or other troop volunteers. The meeting agenda can be found in the calendar entry, meeting minutes will be located in the same location after the meeting.
Held at Camp Lyle McLeod in January, this is a weekend trip for registered, female-identifying SU 245 volunteers. More Details Found in Our Camping Section
Often called “The May Dinner” because it is held on the third Monday in May, this potluck celebrates the effort of our volunteers at all levels. Awards are given, membership years are acknowledged with pins, and prizes are raffled.
