Bridging registration is Open!
This is a sleepaway summer camp at Camp Lyle McLeod for scouts entering 2nd grade through 12th grade. Typically it begins on the first Sunday after Independence Day, and runs through the following Saturday. (Older scouts who tent camp or volunteer as camp helpers arrive on Saturday.) The Community Camp Directors open registration in February.
Scouts are grouped by grade level, and sleeping units range from indoor (youngest scouts), open air cabins, and tent camping (oldest scouts). Activities are planned and held by SU 245 volunteers, and include swimming, boating, crafts, nature, archery, singing/skits, cooking and Girl Scout ceremonies. This is an individual event and not a troop event. Adult volunteers are critical to the success of Community Camp. Visit the Cedar & Sound Community Camp for all the details.
