Welcome to the North Volunteer News & Resources email!

Hello Girl Scout Volunteers,

For the upcoming Girl Scout year, we’re switching to a new model: all your main volunteer news and resources will be packed into this bi-weekly email newsletter. We will primarily focus on regional information, so you’ll get more about what’s most relevant to you. But don’t worry—we’ll still include important council-wide updates, so you won’t miss out on anything.

I’d love to hear what you think of this new system. Simply reply to this email with any comments and ideas. Hope you had a great summer!

Judi Sladky
North Regional Director

New Digs For North Region

At long last, the North Counties Regional Office is pleased to announce our upcoming relocation!

In mid-October we are scheduled to be in our new home at 3224 Wetmore Avenue–feel free to drive by if you are in the neighborhood. But please, don’t try to enter yet. Let us make sure it is ready for showing off! Look for an invitation to the open house that will happen shortly after the move.

Kick Off the Year with Super Sign-Up Saturday

Help us spread the word about Girl Scouting in your community! Bring a friend (either a girl or an adult who’s interested in volunteering) to our Super Sign-Up Saturday on September 27. At this event, girls and adults can learn more about what’s possible with Girl Scouts—whether they’re interested in joining or starting a troop, attending Girl Scout events, or just staying in the loop. See you there!

Pop-Up Store in Marysville

Girl Scout merchandise will be available in our Marysville office at 1331 State Avenue from 2:00-6:00pm on Wednesday, September 17 and 24. Store hours in the new Everett location will be announced after we have the move-in date nailed down!

North Region Troops Rock Renewal

Wow! Kudos! Way to go! You did a fabulous job renewing your troops for 2015. The top performing service units were all in the northern counties. Every service unit did exceptionally well, but a few special shouts to South Whidbey with 80% renewal, and Anacortes and Lynnwood-Edmonds both topping 70%.

We are very proud to have such dedicated troop leaders and service unit teams.

For any Troop Leaders who haven’t yet renewed their troop, please do so before September 30, 2014! After this date, you’ll no longer have access to renew them through your eBiz account and either their guardian will need to renew them or a paper registration will need to be submitted. Need help? Email our eBiz Help Desk.
