North Regional Office Holiday Closures:

The North Office will be closed on the following days:

February 17: President’s Day

February 19: Staff Training (Store will be open)

FREE Disaster Preparedness Presentation:

Interested in leaning more about Disaster Preparedness? Interested in helping nursing students in your community? You can do both by inviting a group of students to a troop meeting to make a 15 minute presentation plus 30-45 minutes of activities. This is a FREE event that can also be used to complete a First Aid badge. Students are willing to visit troops in Snohomish and King counties. For more information or to schedule a meeting, please contact martis22@u.washington.edu

Event and Workshop Registration Deadlines

Event and volunteer workshop deadlines are set by the staff member who supports the event and are based on giving enough time for supplies to be purchased, staff to be notified of numbers, and for participants to receive confirmation information. If there are not enough participants by the registration deadline, the decision will be made whether to cancel the event, or not.  If there are enough participants, but the event isn’t totally full, we can sometimes add participants for a few more days. If you missed the deadline, but would like to register for an event or workshop, please contact the registration team to see if it is possible to register late.  Please, be clear that we may not be able to accommodate a late registration.  If we can take a late registration, we will be asking you to submit a paper registration form, since we cannot make online registration available after the closing date.

Please do not just show up if you are not registered.  This puts the facilitator (often a volunteer) in an awkward position.  It’s difficult to turn people away at the door, especially little girls.
