PLEASE have them contact us, we don’t want to have to cancel camp because we don’t want to cancel camp!!.

Thanks,

Paula Bunyan Intent Survey

Paula Bunyan Intent

Aka Encamporee for Cadettes, Seniors, & Ambassadors

of Cedar ‘n Sound Service Unit 245

Scouts and Leaders:

Replies to my Paula Bunyan* survey in February were very meager… but I have since heard many do want to have a Paula Bunyan weekend in the fall.

What *Paula Bunyan* is the Encamporee for our Service Unit’s teen scouts (6-12th Grade). They come to be campers, not program aides; to see friends from other troops they know from summer camp, sports, or school. And we adults get to mingle and play too. Read more

Make A Difference This Summer

MAKE A DIFFERENCE THIS SUMMER
GET OUTSIDE WITH THE Y AS A VOLUNTEER AT OUR SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM!

People who volunteer live longer, happier, healthier lives! Just take it from Rose-Marie, a youth recreation volunteer, who states, “When I heard about the opportunity to assist with the YMCA ballet program, I was beyond excited. I remember how much I looked up to my ballet teachers when I was young, and it feels so wonderful to now be in that position and to be able to watch the young ballerinas grow and develop their skills as dancers. Dancing is something that I always have loved and always will love, and being able to use it to give something back to the community is amazing.”
We invite you to take an active role in building our community and making a difference for youth this summer as a volunteer for our Summer Day Camp programs. Complete a volunteer application packet and get on your way to becoming a volunteer today! All summer day camp volunteer opportunities occur at Shoreview Park, located at 700 NW Innis Arden Way in Shoreline. Camp runs from June 23 through August 29. One or two training sessions will be required prior to camp beginning. If you have any questions, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Robin Jones via email at rjones@seattleymca.org, or at (206)569-7010. All volunteers for these opportunities must be 15 years or older.
