Teen Dating Violence Workshop
Troop 40011 invites girls level Cadette and older
to join us for a presentation on teen dating violence, and how to avoid it.
Our speaker is Jenny Weiland, who is an educator
and community outreach coordinator for the Domestic
Violence Services of Snohomish County. She will give a 50 minute
presentation, followed by an activity planned by troop 40011. We have room for
up to 50 girls.

17th Annual Pinewood Derby
Do your Girl Scouts (grades 4-12) like to build stuff out of wood? Like some problem solving fun? Friendly competition? Like to design objects that go ZOOM?! This is a great activity for a girl and a special adult to work on together over school break and create a car for our SU’s 17th Annual Pinewood Derby on February 10th. Giving Tree 2017 Service Unit 245
This year, Troop 40011 is running our service unit’s giving tree. Donations will go to the Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County (DVS). DVS is a non-profit organization serving Snohomish County since 1976. It is the only program in Snohomish County providing emergency shelter and comprehensive, confidential services to all victims of domestic abuse. Take time for yourself and make new friends. Learn new songs (or teach others your favorites), play games or make crafts. We also eat very well. Bring a mystery novel to do a book exchange.
We invite all women leaders, assistant leaders and adult volunteers to a weekend retreat at beautiful Camp Lyle McLeod. The camp is located near Belfair, not far from Bremerton. Read more
Northern Lights Vendor Application 2016
The Northern Lights Volunteer Learning Conference is now taking applications for vendor booths. Northern Lights is being held on November 18th at Mount Vernon Christian School in Mount Vernon, WA.
The information below should answer your questions.
Please read the information below and complete the Booth Request page. You will want to return the booth request to me as soon as possible as the vendor booth spots are filled on a “first come, first served basis”.
At this time, there is room for only 9 total tables, which includes 3 food booths(one breakfast & lunch, 2 lunch/snacks) and 6 money earning items. Please see attached paperwork for more information.

Ending Girl-Against-Girl Bullying
Almost every girl has experience bullying. Unfortunately, almost every girl has
also contributed to bullying. The Finding Kind Campaign is a movement to end girl-against-girl bullying. The two-hour Finding Kind Event includes a movie and a facilitated discussion about what girls can do to help prevent and address bullying at school and in the community. Read more
