Girl Scouts of Western Washington

North Regional eNewsletter – January 17, 2014

Happy New Year!

Regional e-news is designed as a communication tool for volunteers and parents in the north region covering Snohomish, Island, Skagit, Whatcom and San Juan counties.  Please share with your Girl Scout families!

Speaking of sharing – we’d love to share your stories and troop activities.  We all love hearing about special moments that make you smile, a badge or project that was a girl hit, plans for a take action project.

 Girl Scouts in Action:

Check out this video production created by Troop 43521 as a part of their work in the Amaze Journey! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpnr6Bxiv20 Is your troop working on a fun badge? Have you finished a cool Take Action project? We’d love to hear about it! Please email Hilarie Ayers at hayers@girlscoutsww.org

We are pleased to share with you a (very sweet) KING 5 News story about one of our troops (and their mentors!) from Snohomish County. You may have heard of Sweetie Pies, a group of girls who used their cookie money to start their own pie-making business five years ago.  What you may not know is that the troop has all graduated, and instead of hanging up their aprons, decided to hand their business down to a younger troop eager to become entrepreneurs
