17th Annual Pinewood Derby

Do your Girl Scouts (grades 4-12) like to build stuff out of wood? Like some problem solving fun? Friendly competition? Like to design objects that go ZOOM?! This is a great activity for a girl and a special adult to work on together over school break and create a car for our SU’s 17th Annual Pinewood Derby on February 10th. This year, Troop 40011 is running our service unit’s giving tree. Donations will go to the Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County (DVS). DVS is a non-profit organization serving Snohomish County since 1976. It is the only program in Snohomish County providing emergency shelter and comprehensive, confidential services to all victims of domestic abuse. Domestic Violence Services provides individual and community awareness programs. Read more

 Take time for yourself and make new friends.  Learn new songs (or teach others your favorites), play games or make crafts.  We also eat very well.  Bring a mystery novel to do a book exchange.

We invite all women leaders, assistant leaders and adult volunteers to a weekend retreat at beautiful Camp Lyle McLeod. The camp is located near Belfair, not far from Bremerton. Read more

  • Donations for the Giving Tree  will be collected.  Another opportunity for donations will be December 4th at the holdiday dinner. . Donations will be supporting Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County. Troop 40011 is sponsoring the
  • Holiday dinner hosted by the SU Team will be December 4th. Leaders, Assistant Leaders, Cookie Managers welcome. Sign up at the meeting. Loads of fun.
  • Spring Encamporee will be at Camp Robbinswold, April 20-22, 2018. Further information concerning deposit and fee submission will be on the agenda.

Troop Cookie Manager

TROOP COOKIE MANAGER

A troop cookie manager’s job is to manage the cookie sale for their troop. This includes attending the Service Unit troop cookie manager training, holding a parent meeting, ordering the troops cookies, selecting booth sites, assigning girls to the booth sales, collecting all monies, reordering cookies, balancing out the sale, ordering rewards, and distributing cookie rewards.
