Red Cross Course

Passed From: Heather Fitzpatrick
Date: Mon, Jun 23, 2014 at 1:38 PM

Hi there,
My troop is interested in taking the following Red Cross course. Unfortunately, it’s offered on a pretty limited basis – and we would easily fill the class. So … I’m looking into whether we could host a custom training for our troop. With about 10 girls, we’d be paying a premium for convenience … so we are wondering whether there would be sufficient interest from other Cadette/Senior/Ambassador troops who might have girls who would like to join us.
It’s $129/person, and we would be looking to host it locally (in Edmonds). We’re thinking of Monday, August 25, since so many families have weekend conflicts. It’s recommended for kids 11 and up.
Note that this isn’t the normal babysitting class. It’s the version that includes First Aid/CPR/AED certification. There’s an online learning component that must be satisfied prior to starting the class.
Do you know of any troops/individual Scouts who might be interested?
If so, could you have them contact me as soon as possible via email at hfitzpatrick@marketfitz.com.
Thanks so much!

Hi,

Do you have contact with any scout groups that may want to help with the July 4th parade in Everett?  They are looking for between 5 and 10 people, in groups of two or three, to pull wagons along the parade route to give water to the participants.

Please let me know if you have any contacts for this position.

Thank you.

Paula Bunyan Intent Survey

Paula Bunyan Intent

Aka Encamporee for Cadettes, Seniors, & Ambassadors

of Cedar ‘n Sound Service Unit 245

Scouts and Leaders:

Replies to my Paula Bunyan* survey in February were very meager… but I have since heard many do want to have a Paula Bunyan weekend in the fall.

What *Paula Bunyan* is the Encamporee for our Service Unit’s teen scouts (6-12th Grade). They come to be campers, not program aides; to see friends from other troops they know from summer camp, sports, or school. And we adults get to mingle and play too. Read more
