Troop 41808

5/9/17 Update…..unit has a new home!!

Paula Bunyan

Hello Leaders of Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador troops of Service Unit 245:
In case you weren’t at the April Girl Scout Leader Meeting OR missed it on Facebook OR missed it on our SU website …..registration for Paula Bunyan Encamporee is now open and is already half full.
Paula Bunyan is an encamporee for the C. S. A troops of our SU—-it is a fun weekend, it is NOT a competition weekend. This once a year event has been going on for ~15 years: the girls love it as they get to see the other teenagers from their SU-often times girls they also know from school, sports, church, and summer camp. The leaders love it as they too get to play and hang out with other crazy minded leaders.
Do you want to try camping but aren’t confident in your skills? This IS THE PLACE to come as there are many experienced leaders available to help you out-ahead of time and while at camp.
Please read the flyer for more info.
FIrst step: MAIL the bottom part of the registration form with a $50 deposit to me (address below)-by ASAP, but no later than May 10th.
Then I will send you an activity survey for you to complete WITH your scouts
Cost: We share the River Ranch site fee—-it depends on how many troops we have; it has been $60 per troop:PLUS your own food, PLUS any activity fees.
Questions: Ellen “Jasper” Govan

Paula Bunyan Encamporee

Paula Bunyan Encamporee

Paula Bunyan is the Encamporee for our Service Unit’s teen Girl Scouts. They come to be campers, not program aides; to see friends from other troops they know from summer camp, sports, church, or school. We leaders get to mix and mingle too! Plus  the usual troop camping kapers.
