Just In Time For Mothers Day!!

Hi Fellow Girl Scout Leaders – I wanted to remind you all of the event my troop has planned as a fundraiser for their planned travel to LA in February.  And let you know that there is still space available.
The event takes place on Saturday, May 2nd at the Lynnwood Library from 2:00 – 3:30.  For $12.00 your scouts can make a beautiful beaded heart necklace for their favorite someone.  And attendees do not need to be a scout, so your troop can invite friends, classmates, church buddies, etc.  (Your help in spreading the word would be greatly appreciated!)
Please let me know if have any questions or are interested in attending.   Thanks!

Just in time for Mother’s Day!!!

Cultural Event At Edmonds Community College

Hi there,

We have a really great opportunity for Girl Scouts to be present at a wonderful cultural event at Edmonds Community College on May 3rd at 1pm.  We’ve invited troops and Girls from across the council to participate in this culturally enriching educational opportunity to celebrate American Indian singing, drumming, dancing, and arts and crafts.  All Girls that attend and stop by our booth will get a “Cultural Awareness” patch.

We would love to have a few local volunteers host our information booth and possibly some older girls as well.  Duties include sharing the joy of Girl Scouting with people who stop by and handing out patches to all Girl Scouts who stop by the booth.  It shouldn’t be a long day and it will be a great experience for those who’d like to help out.  Kathy, this is right up your alley if you’d like to help out…wink wink 😉
